New Constitution and By-Laws adopted

The Voters of Trinity adopted a new constitution and by-laws on January 23, 2011. It will now be submitted to the Minnesota South District of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod for their approval. In the meantime, we will begin implementing this  constitution.

Summary of Changes in Proposed Constitution

1. Reorganization of Constitution and Bylaws following Synod approved constitution of another congregation
2. Setting up a Board of Deacons: support & work with pastor
   1. Set up & oversee ministry commissions
   2. Pastoral Support Commission
3. Reduce workload of Board of Directors: oversee overall direction & facilities
   1. primarily budget
   2. congregational assemblies
4. Incorporate Mission & Vision Statement
5. Change fiscal year to Nov thru Oct
   1. known school enrollment for budgeting
   2. coincide (more closely) with Stewardship efforts
