Strategic Plan Summary


Introduction

The following Congregational Summary of Trinity’s Strategic Plan for Mission and Ministry was approved at the Annual Voters’ meeting in June 2009. It guides and directs the priorities for our work together during the next year.

I. Personal Transformation

Goal:

The love of Christ compels us to be a vessel that God uses to transform lives so that we love God and others, faithfully reaching out in ministry.

Objective:

Trinity nurtures an environment that connects and keeps people engage and growing in faith and service to others.

Actions:

  • Small group ministries (focus: 2009)
    • Double participation in Small Group ministries
  • Preaching promotes the life that is being transformed
  • Promoting Daily Time with God
  • Bible Studies
  • Sacraments & Special Services
  • Youth Ministry
  • Spiritual Gifts Discovery
  • Men at the Cross – Men’s Ministry
  • Women’s Ministry

II. Inspirational Worship

Goal:

The love of Christ compels us to reach up to God in relevant, regular worship that glorifies God and invites Him to inspire a greater love for Him and others.

Objective:

Trinity cultivates a lifestyle of worship that focuses on prayer, praise, and thanksgiving to God.

Actions:

  • Prayer
  • Worship Gathering (focus: 2009)
    • Regularly have 5-10 “first-time” visitors in weekly worship
    • 15% increase in weekly worship attendance
    • Intentional invitational events – monthly
  • Thanksgiving

III. Foundational Faith

Goal:

The love of Christ compels us to plant and nurture the seed of faith, equipping the generations with a firm foundation in God’s Word and love.

Objective:

Trinity provides Biblical education and support to individuals and families as they grow in a living, saving faith.

Actions:

  • Generations (opportunities for people of all ages to grow in their faith)
  • Home
  • Education (focus: 2009)
    • Increase enrolllment in educational programs
    • Expanded educational offerings for all ages
    • Increase in new members’ classes “Trinity Foundations”

IV. Relational Connection

Goal:

The love of Chrit compels us to intentionally reach out to those near us through relationships that demonstrate His love and serve the needs of a broader community.

Objective:

Trinity serves people with hospitality, care, and evangelism.

Actions:

  • Evangelism
  • Strong Community Relationship
  • Hospitality
  • Care (focus: 2009)
    • Trinity develops a “Comprehensive System of Care”

V. Global Compassion

Goal:

The love of Christ compels us to reach out with compassion to the world, to proclaim the saving Gospel and heal the broken.

Objective:

Trinity instills and cultivates a passion for global minisitry through communication, education, and participation.

Actions:

  • Communication

  • Participation (focus: 2009)
    • 50% of members can identify at least one way they participate in the mission of Christ.
  • Mission Lifestyle

VI. Missional Momentum

Goal:

The love of Christ compels us to utilize and leverage all our resources to effectively move forward on a daily mission to love God and others.

Objective:

Trinity balances the ministries of program and provision under a single vision with an effective organizaational structure for leadership and ministry.
